Amazing Homestay just on the banks of the canal with great view. Very peaceful & well maintained property. Lots of greenery around. A must place for nature enthusiasts who want to spend some quality time away from the main town.
Rooms are quite spacious with all the basic amenities. Great hospitality & good home cooked food provided at affordable rates. The host will help you to book boat rides as well as plan up visits to main tourist attractions.
Overall no complaints as such. Just go for it.

A Truly Blissful Stay Amidst Nature
This was one of the most memorable stays we've had — pure bliss surrounded by nature. The property is located on an island, enveloped by lush greenery and serene backwaters, offering a truly tranquil experience.
Our host, Jack, was exceptional — always on his toes and treating guests like family. His warm hospitality and ever-ready smile made us feel completely at home.
Reaching the island itself is a unique experience, as you need to take a boat owned by Jack, so everything is well taken care of.
We were also treated to authentic Kerala cuisine, lovingly prepared by Jack’s mother. Every meal was a delight and added to the charm of the stay.
Altogether, this was an unforgettable experience that we’ll cherish forever.

A Hidden Gem in Alleppey – Evaans Casa
Our stay at Evaans Casa in the Alleppey backwaters was nothing short of incredible! Even though it wasn’t on a traditional houseboat, the setting and experience gave us the same, if not an even better, feeling of being right in the heart of Kerala’s serene backwaters.
The property was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offered stunning views that made us feel completely at ease. They also offer affordable shikara rides, speed boat trips, and other local activities, which added a fun and adventurous touch to our relaxing getaway.
But what truly made our stay special was the hospitality. The host at Evaans Casa was genuinely the nicest I’ve ever come across—so warm and welcoming, and even gifted us delicious mangoes straight from his garden, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Homestay location is amazing. You have to take a boat from the land, which is provided by the Home stay. That’s an adventure in itself. The property is right at the backwaters edge. The food is good and homely. The caretaker is very helpful and have arranged shikara boating ride through the canals. This establishment is high value for the money and enjoyed the trip...

This is First time for Alappuzha, Mr.Jack Guide and Taking Care of Everything like Booking Boat House,Speed Boat and what ever we need, He arranged very quickly, Rate also Nominal Food Also Very Good and Tasty We are very Happy and satisfied.
The stay was too good. The host was very sweet and helped us with all our queries. We loved the water activities (speed boat and kayaking), it was one hell of a experience. The food which they provided also was yummy. The location is infront of the lake with good views. Overall experience was very good.
The property location is amazing. You have to take a boat from the mainland, which is provided by the property. That’s an adventure in itself. The property is right at the backwaters edge. The food is excellent. Its freshly prepared home cooked meal. Mallappa, the caretaker is very helpful as were all the staff who brought our food, took our luggage and took us for a canoe ride through the canals. This establishment is high value for the price, so make sure to tip the staff well!

Good location. Ferry service is required to reach to this property as it is situated in an island. Property is having their own private boat service. Ambience is awesome, rooms size are a bit small & cozy. Food is awesome. Host is good. Overall a very good property to stay in Alleppey & enjoy vacation.
t is like a homestay. The food is freshly homemade meal and the rooms are nice Please note that they are nice not necessarily esthetic. For this price you get food, safety and peace. They also arrange the shikara ride for you but you have to be very vigilant with the price of you are not native of the place as we were told that for 3 hours 3 people will be charged 2000/- and the price will remain same for 2 hours too but on completion we had to pay 3000/- for 3 hours. Communication can be a barrier for other activities Overall the stay was good.
Had a wonderful experience at the homestay. Felt like home away from home, Malappa (the tireless caretaker ) was very helpful and was there for everything we needed. Jack is the amazing owner and will help you with things to do and where to go. You won't regret the stay, one of the the best options in case you don't want to stay in the houseboat. Rooms were clean and had all the required stuff, highly recommendee.
Very nice experience of staying like on an island as we were picked up by boat to reach there and back with water all around. Hosts arranged everything thereafter with backwaters exploration with shikara, canoeing and kayaking, all being a different experience. Good homemade food, simple people and extremely good service.

Although our visit was brief, it left an indelible mark, largely thanks to the impeccable hospitality and picturesque surroundings. From the moment we set foot on the property, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility something that only a place so in tune with nature and genuine care can offer. Jack, the host, exemplified true hospitality. Not only did he keep track of our travel schedule, but he personally ensured that we were picked up from the ferry point, making our arrival seamless and stress-free. This small yet thoughtful gesture spoke volumes about the attention to detail and care that defines Evaans Casa.
As this homestay is located on the waterfront, we had to take a boat ride inorder to reach it. The homestay is set by the side of the waterway and as such it offers a unique experience. Loved the peaceful and clean environment. Found the room to be spacious and well maintained. Served home style cooked food. The hospitality offered by Jackson is worth mentioning.
We were looking for a place on the backwaters that was comfortable, affordable, clean, quiet, away from the city yet easily accessible to it. And we homed on to Evaan's Casa through online research. When we finally got there it turned out to be more than what we had hoped for. My wife & I are travellers, travel writers, photographers & artists. We wanted to return to the backwaters for a quiet getaway, this being our 4th trip to Kerala. We booked at Evaan's Casa for 6 days but ended up staying for 7. And that too wasn't enough. Evaan's Casa is a very well run Homestay which has the personal feel of a home yet the private comfort of a hotel. Straddled between the backwater's canal & paddy fields, it's almost an island within an island. Jackson is the man in charge along with his Man Friday Rajappan (a great asset to him & us guests). I have yet to see such personalised care & attention, even when you are not a VIP.
Evaan's Casa is a very well run Homestay which has the personal feel . During our stay we felt like home away from home , yet the private comfort of a hotel. Hospitality and service is at next level , especially Mallappa took care of us and ensured that we had a comfortable stay . Highly recommend this place for stay .
Homely stay with mesmerizing view from the room. I have been greeted by Jack. We reach late to this beautiful stay and Jack came to pick us at the other shore as the house is on an Island. The view from this place is amazing. I spend my entire time in this property, specially in the backyard and in the balcony. They do have many rabbits, birds and fishes. I loved hut near the lake that they have built to sit and enjoy the back side lake view. With this view, I feel I was lucky to get such delicious food made by aunt, she cooked amazing chicken. I liked all other food items, but can't forget the taste of her chicken curry. And the best was when Jack told all the stories about Alleppey, its lake, about the places one should visit. P.S: Jack is an amazing photographer, we have got so many good photos because of him. Thank you Jack for all your effort to make our trip memorable.
This was my first visit to Kerala. I had amazing hospitality with Evaans Casa. The host, Jackson, came to pick me up at 6 O’clock in the morning with his boat, he is really an amazing person. I was having stomach upset, he sensed that and gave me some herbal tea made by his mother, which really helped me a lot. Also, the property is very good, it has backwater views from the balcony, surrounded by nature. I woke up with birds chirping, such a mesmerizing experience.
Overall I had a good experience here with my wife and our dog. The location of the homestay is right on the canal which makes for a nice view in the mornings and evenings. The only way to get in or out is by boat though, so you can't move around whenever or wherever you want to, without planning for the boat availability first. The host Jackson is very personable and is full of recommendations for things to do and can arrange most of them as well. Everything he arranges is at a pretty fair, standard price. I believe Jackson would benefit from having someone else to help manage the homestay as right now he is involved in too many things and not able to give enough time to everything. We had homemade food almost everyday while we were staying here and it was great most of the time, especially when there were less guests.
